KRIS BOYD THE BOY FOR DAVID MOYES

DAVID MOYES is considering a move for Rangers’ Kris Boyd – after losing out to Fulham in the race to sign Congo striker Dieumerci Mbokani from Standard Liege.




The Cottagers have opened talks with Mbokani, 24, after having an £8million bid accepted.




Mbokani had no interest in joining the Merseyside club and wanted to play and live in London instead.

Boyd, 26, who is available on a Bosman, wants a move to the Premier League – and has been interesting both Blackburn and West Ham United.





But he would relish linking up with fellow Scot Moyes.

Kennedy rond met Kayserispor AMSTERDAM - Kennedy Bakircioglu (29) heeft een mondeling akkoord bereikt met het Turkse Kayserispor. Voor de aanvaller van Ajax, die ondanks een doorlopend contract transfervrij mag vertrekken, ligt – als al het papierwerk is geregeld – bij de club van Shota Arveladze een contract voor twee jaar klaar.

Strachan to make last ditch bid for Boyd?

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan linked with 11th hour bid to take Rangers striker Kris Boyd to Teesside.

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan could be set to re-enter the race to sign Rangers hitman Kirs Boyd.
According to a report in The Daily Record Strachan will make a last ditch attempt to lure the SPL’s all time top goal scorer to the Riverside.
Strachan was one of the first managers to make a move for Boyd back in January when the striker’s contract was running down.
Now he look set to return to the table in a bid to strike a late deal that would see the Rangers striker spearhead the Boro attack alongside former Old Firm rival, ex-Celtic striker Scott MacDonald.
Boyd has been weighing up offers from a number of clubs with Turkish outfit Kayesersipor offering the prolific hitman a massive £50,000 a week to move abroad.
Strachan will be unable to match that but the report says he has set aside wages of £30,000 to get his man, and Boyd may prefer to remain in the UK and join Boro’s promotion push to the Premiership.
Newcastle were also said to be trailing Boyd, but last week Magpies boss Chris HUghton moved to pour cold water on speculation that he was set to take the Light Blues striker to St James park, describing a move for the Scotland international “a non-starter.”

Boyd had also been linked with a move to rivals Celtic but scoffed at suggestion she would swap Ibrox for parkhead claiming: "I know there's been talk of me going from Rangers to Celtic but if I did that it wouldn't be the penalty box I'd be in, it would be a wooden box!
Strachan is also said to have put together a similar package to lure Rangers’ Kevin Thompson to the Riverside, although ‘Gers gaffer Walter Smith would be loathe to lose the midfield star.
Strachan is expected to make a move for Thompson when the 28 year-old returns from holiday this week.
The Light blues are said to be eying up Honduras striker George Welcome as a possible replacement for Boy.
Rangers keeper Allan McGregor’s agent claims an agent for Portuguese giants has sounded him out about an approach for the Ibrox No.1, while Stuttgart are the latest club to linked with Rangers super kid Danny Wilson after Liverpool appear to have cooled their interest in the young defender.

Everton in frame for Boyd

Everton are now said to be leading a clutch of clubs keen on signing Rangers striker Kris Boyd.

Boyd is widely expected to make a Bosman-free move to the English top flight this summer and has been a long-term target of Birmingham City, with their boss Alex McLeish failing to land him despite making several bids in recent transfer windows.
Everton have also been admirers of the striker and now the latest suggestions are that the Merseysiders have moved to the front of the queue for his signature.
Turkish outfit Kayserispor are also interested in the 26-year-old.
