Former Rangers striker Shota Arveladze could miss out on signing Rangers hitman Kris Boyd after the striker’s agent held talks with Blackburn Rovers.
Arveladze, boss of Turkish outfit Kayserispor has made SPL top goal scorer of all time Boyd his No.1 summer signing target.
The Turkish club have offered Boyd a bumper £50,000 a week deal to move abroad. But Averladze could be pipped to the post for the hitman’s signature by Sam Allardyce.
According to a report in The Sun Boyd is on a shortlist of three striking targets drawn up by Rovers boss Sam Allardyce.
Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan is also keeping tabs on the out of contract star
Boyd was supposed to jet to Turkey for talks about a possible switch to Kayserispor but held off after Blackburn made contact.
The out of contract striker is said to prefer a move to the Premiership and Blackburn now look to be in pole position.
Allardyce is on holiday in Dubai but could be set to tie up the striker on adeal within the next few days.
Other names said to be in the frame on the shortlist are Lyon’s Frederic Pquionne and Stoke City ace James Beattie who would both cost money.
But with money tight and Allardyce operating on abudget of only £2.5m the fact that Boyd is available on a free would make the striker the more attractive position and still leave Allardyce with money in the kitty.

KRIS BOYD will make a decision on his future within the next 48 hours - but the former Rangers hitman won't be going to Turkey.
The Scotland striker decided to leave Ibrox when his contract expired at the end of the season and is wanted by several English clubs including Middlesbrough, Newcastle and Blackburn.
Kayserispor, managed by ex-Gers star Shota Arveladze, were desperate to land the SPL's all-time top scorer but Record Sport understands that deal is all but dead.
Despite being offered a private jet to visit the club, Boyd hasn't made the trip to Turkey and has no plans to meet Arveladze this week.
Instead, Boyd will finally make up his mind on where he'll play next term within a couple of days after talks with his family and representative Mark Donaghy.
The 26-year-old is weighing up a concrete offer on the table from Gordon Strachan's Boro - a deal which has been available to him since January when he held talks with the former Celtic manager.
But Boyd would prefer a switch to the Premiership after spending four goalladen years at Ibrox, where he won two SPL titles, two Scottish Cups and two League Cups.

Kayserispor manager Shota Arveladze has conceded defeat in his bid to sign former Rangers star Kris Boyd.
Arveladze reportedly offered the out-of-contract Rangers striker, 26, a £4million deal over two years to join the Turkish club.
However, former Ibrox player Arveladze was left frustrated when Boyd turned down the invitation to fly to Turkey for discussions.
"It is 95% certain now that Kris won't be coming and, of course, I am disappointed because I wanted him in my team," Arveladze told the Scottish Daily Mail. "He didn't even want to come out here and see the place.
"I don't know why. I don't know if it is because he wants to stay in Britain or if there's now a chance he'll remain at Rangers.
"I've lived all over Europe and this is a lovely place. I've lived in Tbilisi, Amsterdam and Glasgow.

Great shame

"There is nothing wrong with Kayseri and it's a great shame he didn't come out here to have a look.
"I made him my best offer and spoke personally to Kris a couple of times. I also met his agent, Mark Donaghy.
"But Mark has now told me it won't happen and I am just waiting for formal rejection of our offer."
Arveladze added: "I'd already started looking for other strikers because this was taking so long.
"It is not easy to find one but I have to try for Kayserispor.
"We've started pre-season training. It's a pity Boyd didn't tell me his intentions a bit earlier."
Middlesbrough are reported to be leading the chase for the 26-year-old having tried to sign him during the January transfer window.
Premier League pair Blackburn and Newcastle are also both in the running for the prolific forward as he looks certain to move to England.

Biraz daha zaman tanimaliyiz , sonuçta kulübü yöneten insanlarin geceleri gündüzleri bu işler ..
Boyd gelmese bile ihtiyacimiz olan mevkiler dolacaktir ..

Vardir bunda da bi hayir.. 3 yillik 7 m € gibi bir para cok fazlaydi. Belki Boyd gibi 3 yil üst üste gol krali olmus bi adam alamayiz ama Maku'dan daha üstün bi forvet bulabiliriz. Bu paraya hayli hayli buluruz.

Libre de tout contrat, le milieu offensif de 28 ans, Aurélien Capoue, serait sur les tablettes de Kayserispor, si l'on se réfère à L'Equipe de mardi. Il n'a pas été conservé à l'issue de son prêt par l'AJ Auxerre.
